It’s not every day that the latest jewelry trend can link its popularity to a cell-phone, but what about Rose Gold? Did Apple have anything to do with it when they launched their new rose gold iPhone 6 in 2015?

Rose Gold has actually been around for a long time, since the 19th century in fact, when the Russian Czar’s jeweler, Carl Faberge, first mixed copper with yellow gold and used the gorgeous warm pink toned ‘rose gold’ in all sorts of jewels, including his famous Faberge eggs!

Today you’ll see rose gold adorning celebrities, fashion runways, engagement rings and tech products alike. As well as being right on trend and a stylish, elegant color rose gold is also more durable than yellow gold, so we’re not surprised it’s so popular.

It’s colors mix wonderfully with other metals in layered necklaces, and stacked bracelets or rings. And you can highlight the pink even more with an outfit in neutral shades.
