In some families, there are treasured heirlooms that are passed down through each generation. As meaningful as they may be, some are not quite as stylish as they used to be. That being said, there is a way to update these pieces without losing its significance. Here at Studio 703, Rebecca Lankford specializes in custom jewelry design, including taking your old jewelry and transforming it into beautiful, new, one-of-a-kind pieces made solely for you.

So how does it work?

There’s a creative, collaborative process we go through with all of our clients when re-purposing jewelry, and it all starts with you!

The first step in the process begins with you digging through the depths of your jewelry box to find family heirlooms, pieces of jewelry that have special meaning to you, anything you simply don’t wear anymore but is too pretty to give away, or pieces you love but need a bit of an upgrade.

Once you’ve decided on the pieces you’d like to re-purpose, gather your ideas for what you are envisioning, and schedule an appointment with Rebecca to start the collaboration!

Taking your ideas, we help guide you along towards the perfect piece of custom jewelry to suit you. After deciding on the final design, everyone gets down to work to bring your vision to life!

Once everything is completed, we preform a final check for perfection, and at long last, it is YOURS!

A few of our favorite transformations

This client brought in a pair of vibrant tanzanite studs her father had brought back for her from Africa. As beautiful as the stones were, she felt the setting wasn’t doing them justice and decided to bump them up! After working together, we settled on this design and they are simply stunning!!

Who doesn’t love a beautiful fire opal?! This cuff was born from multiple pieces of opal jewelry our client never wore anymore. But why let gorgeous stones like this stay in a jewelry box? Simple, unique, and fun, this cuff is timeless and we had so much fun creating it!

From one to three AND a pair of earrings! What once started as a simple, diamond and sapphire ring, turned into a playful ring stack and a beautiful pair of diamond earrings. By taking them from the original ring, we were able to change the settings to let the entire beauty of each stone shine through and create a one-of-a-kind, mini collection for this client!

This client had a family ring but didn’t quite know what to do with it. After getting the ring appraised, she was told the diamonds we not quality and even cheap when in fact, they are absolutely stunning! The center stone is an emerald cut yellow diamond accented by two white diamonds. The chunky ring was taking away from the natural beauty of these stones, thus, we removed them and created a charm necklace that is to die for!

As you can see, we have so much fun collaborating with clients in creating unique, handcrafted jewelry. Each person’s style is different from the last, giving us the opportunity to design so many diverse pieces. The process is something beautiful and we don’t want to stop now! Bring in all the pieces you thought you would never wear again and lets make something amazing!
