This week we would like to introduce you to Stacie, our new Office Manager and Community Engagement Coordinator. We are excited to have her as a part of our RLD family and would love for you all to meet her! For those of you who don’t live in Houston, we did a little interview so everyone can get to know Stacie.

Our sit down started out with some basic questions such as where are you from? College StationTexas. Favorite color? blue. Favorite food? dark chocolate (which she makes from scratch and is DELICIOUS!)

Now onto the tougher questions:

If you could spend a day in someone else’s shoes who would be and why?

“I would spend the day as a homeless person to gain perspective on how they live and what a day looks like for them.”

Where is your happy place?

“Hiking or sitting on a rocking chair on a porch in the mountains. Nowhere specific, but I would like it to be warm outside. I’m not a huge fan of the cold.”

What is the best advice you have been given?

“Friendships don’t always last a lifetime. If a friendships fades that is ok. Sometimes that relationship is meant for that moment. Be joyful in the present and don’t live in the past”

What are three adjectives you would use to describe yourself?

“Kind, joyful, organized”

What job would you be terrible at?

“Skydiving instructor! I wouldn’t be able to stay calm for my clients or be able to jump out of the plane…”

If you could have dinner with anyone fictional, living or dead, who would it be and why?

Hermione Granger from Harry Potter. I really want to know what it is like to have magical powers.”

Some other fun facts we learned is that Stacie beat an Olympian’s record when she was 10 years old in the back stroke, she is a champion at lip syncing (she won a competition!) she has been married for 2 years to her college sweet heart and they have the cutest dog Kota!

We are excited to have Stacie as part of the team and we forward to everyone getting to know her!
